MSSA Digital Display Unveiling
When the new digital display of the biographies of all MSSA Media Roll of Honour inductees was officially unveiled in the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in July 2025, the MSSA dedicated it to the late Ted Wyman.
Before the former MSSA president/Winnipeg Sun sports editor/reporter lost his battle to cancer in November 2024, Ted had initiated the process of getting the digital display a permanent home in the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum to preserve the history of all of those who have been inducted over the years.
MSSA secretary Jim Bender, advisor to the MSSA executive board Judy Owen and Ted Wyman’s widowed partner, Kim Fedick, presided over the well-attended dedication reception held at the Hall.
This is Ted Wyman’s legacy to all Manitoba sports reporters, columnists, broadcasters, photographers, videographers and podcasters. He is missed dearly by all of us.
Roll of honour members in attendance at the unveiling had the opportunity to see their digital bios. That included former CTV network broadcaster and sports director Peter Young, who was announced that day as the 2025 roll of honour inductee. He was officially inducted on Nov. 7.
